Booking Conditions

Please read these terms and conditions carefully as these conditions incorporate the basis on which bookings are accepted.

A reservation constitutes a two-way contract between the Runaway Bay Motor Inn and you.
It assures that your accommodation will be kept available for you for all the dates indicated,
and it assures us that we can turn away other potential guests for the dates indicated.

It is understood that the Runaway Bay Motor Inn cannot accept responsibility for inclement
weather, changes in travel plans, personal sickness or injury, etc.

Deposit

  • Low Season:    A deposit is required to secure each reservation.  A deposit equal to the first night’s accommodation cost must be paid immediately at the time of making the booking. NO reservations will be guaranteed without a deposit.  The deposit can be paid by Credit Card and we accept Visa & Mastercard.  Payment of this deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.

Final Payment

Full payment must be received at least 7 days prior to check-in.

For bookings made inside 7 days prior to check-in, full payment is required at time of booking.  If deposit or final payment is not received by the due date, Runaway Bay Motor Inn reserves the right to cancel the booking.

  • High Season:    A deposit is required to secure each reservation. A deposit equalling 25% of the total accommodation cost must be paid immediately at the time of making the booking.  NO reservations will be guaranteed without a deposit.  The deposit can be paid by Credit Card and we accept Visa & Mastercard.  Payment of this deposit will indicate acceptance of these booking conditions.

Final Payment

Full payment must be received at least 60 days prior to check-in.

For bookings made inside 60 days prior to check-in, full payment is required at time of booking.  If deposit or final payment is not received by the due date, Runaway Bay Motor Inn reserves the right to cancel the booking.

Cancellations

Please note this policy does not apply after the stay has commenced.

  • Low Season:    Cancellations advised before 12 Noon day prior to check-in date are fully refundable less a $30.00 administration fee.  Cancellations advised inside this period will result in forfeiture of pre-paid amount.  This also applies to any date changes / booking alterations.
  • High Season:    Cancellations advised 30 days prior to check-in date are fully refundable less a $30.00 administration fee.  Cancellations advised inside 30 days of scheduled check-in date will result in forfeiture of pre-paid amount.  This also applies to any date changes / booking alterations.

A $200AUD credit card authorisation (pre-auth) or imprint will be required at time of check-in and may be used to cover incidental items such as (but not limited to): Food and Beverage charges, any breakages or damage incurred during your stay.  Cleaning charges in excess of the normal level of cleaning.  Please note this process validates the presented credit card, and protects both the cardholder and merchant from increasing fraud incidents.  We may pre-authorise a credit card for any charges we determine that the guest may be likely to consume during their stay.  This may also include an amount to cover a security bond / deposit for damages.  The pre-authorised amount is set aside by the credit card company for a period of up to 7 days.  The pre-authorisation will affect your available funds balance and spending limit.  For more information on this practice we suggest the cardholder contact their card issuer.  Once a pre-authorisation amount has been made, we cannot release, remove or lower the authorised amount, until we process the final account on departure.  This is a restriction placed on us by the bank, and cannot be negotiated.  Where a credit card is not available a minimum $200AUD cash deposit will be required.

Standard check-in is 2.00 p.m. and standard check-out is 10.00 a.m.  Late check-out / early check-in
is at the discretion of Management and is NOT available during peak season or high occupancy periods.

Late check-out after 10.00 a.m. will incur the following additional charges:

10.00 a.m. to 11.00 a.m. $25.00, 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon $50.00, 12.00 Noon to 1.00 p.m. $75.00,
after 1.00 p.m. the full daily rate applies.

Early check-in before 2.00 p.m. will incur the following additional charges:

1.00 p.m. to 2.00 p.m. $25.00, 12.00 Noon to 1.00 p.m. $50.00, 11.00 a.m. to 12.00 Noon $75.00,
prior to 11.00 a.m. the room must be reserved for the previous night and therefore includes an
additional nightly charge.
